Beginning in 2025, I started hosting the Handcraft Hangout. Both a place for community-building and connection as well as exchange and learning, this format grew out of my ongoing research in the intersection of dance and textile arts. The monthly sessions are free, informal gatherings where friends, and friends to be, meet to chat, exchange and work alongside each other on their own textile or other handcraft projects.

My intention is to make a space to craft, to connect, to repair, to exchange ideas, gossip and share skills or learn something. In a world which pushes us all to move fast, be digital and use AI, I find value in the shared presence and the communal aspects which both dance and textile arts and handcraft share. With the resources I have, this is a way I can share and give back to the people in my community.
